HIFI-HIGHBOARD
As part of my final project in carpentry school, I created a high-board that explores the interplay of form, material, and detail. Walnut surfaces contrast with grey-painted MDF, while two large tambour doors define the design with a distinctive rhythm and clarity. The speakers were developed as a matching extension of the piece, reinforcing its cohesive design language. Conceived as a storage solution for record players and media, the high-board goes beyond function, becoming a sculptural element within the living space. Subtle features such as the illuminated interior and finely integrated drawers add depth, atmosphere, and a refined sense of craftsmanship.
AWARD-WINNING
My high-board was awarded first place in the ‘Die Gute Form’ design competition by the Guild of Carpenters in Gütersloh in 2021.
